Blitzart is one of the most popular manufacturers when it comes to electric skateboards. Based in Southern California, they have a passion for outdoor sports, and they create high-quality products to support them. And this particular model makes for a great choice to consider!

1. BLITZART Tornado 38″ Electric Skateboard

This Blitzart Tornado can reach a speed of 17 miles per hour. It functions based on a 36V, 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery pack and has a range of 8 miles. And it only takes a little over two hours to fully charge the battery before riding this skateboard.

Another great feature of the Blitzard eboard is the ergonomic remote controller. The remote is wireless and very easy to use during riding. You can increase or decrease the speed which makes it perfect for both beginner and advanced users.

As for the material, Blitzart Tornado skateboard is made of maple wood and bamboo wood plies. These types of wood give a great level of flexibility to the skateboard, while it is still sturdy and secure. It can hold up to 250 lbs of maximum weight, and it comes with grip tape for increased safety. This skateboard comes in the dimensions of 38 inches in length, 9 inches wide and 5 inches high.

2. Razor Cruiser Lithium-Powered Electric Skateboard

CruiserX Lithium powered electric skateboardThis RazorX model is different than the rest as it targets a much different type of audience and that is why it is offered at a much lower price.

It may be a small and cheap board, but it surely doesn’t compromise on the fun factor.

It has a bamboo deck with wide wheels and looking at it from the top, you wouldn’t guess it’s an esk8. It weighs around 10lb (4.5kilograms) and has dimensions of 30 x 10.6 x 5.7 inches.

It comes with an LED light showing how much battery you’ve got left and as the company states: it can give you around 40 minutes of use with a fully-charged battery.

If you need to cover more range, you can get an extra battery for $75, which we consider as a good bargain. It comes with a wireless joystick remote, the same as the RipStick Electric. Sliding the remote forward moves the board forward, and pushing it back slows down the speed, similar to the break on Tesla cars. After all, both machines are electric!

The small size and weight of the esk8 gives amazing agility around obstacles and it’s so easy to turn left and right very quickly. You can use this cute little eboard for commuting or simply going to a friends’ place or a local convenience store.

It is a great pick as a present for kids or beginner esk8ers, and it will save you some bucks as well, as you won’t need to cough a huge amount of money for it.

Overall, it is a great board for its price and my favorite in this price range, perfect as an introduction to the electric skateboarding life!

What to look for when choosing a budget electric skateboard under $300

Knowing what are the best electric skateboards on the market is not enough to make the best decision for you. There are many aspects to take into consideration before pulling your credit card out. If you want to end up with a quality product, it is worth the time to check the following features!

  • The size and weight:

A skateboard shouldn’t be very heavy or very big because it will become inconvenient to use. If you run out of battery, you might be stuck carrying it the rest of the day which is never fun. However, electric boards made for advanced users tend to be heavier and more massive than those for beginners. Which is why you might need to compromise a little if performance is what you are going for.

Light boards tend to come with fewer features and lower performance. But if all you want is a board to have fun with you can successfully go for a lighter one. It is better to know what you are going to use your skateboard for before deciding on the size of it.

  • Capacity:

The capacity of a skateboard is also very important. The electric skateboards are designed to support a certain weight. And if you are going to use your board, you need to fit within the weight parameters. Many buyers neglect this aspect, but that will only bring a lack of riding satisfaction.

If your weight is higher than what the board is designed to support, you will not enjoy it for very long! There is no reason not to consider this aspect, especially when nowadays you can find all skateboards made for everyone!

  • Range and speed:

When it comes to range and speed, you need to know what you want to do with your board. If you need a skateboard made for long distance, the range is very important as well as the speed. Your board needs to be able to meet your expectations! While speed can be a subjective preference, the range is a rational choice.

You want gear with an increased range if you are planning to use it as part of your routine. But if you want to have some fun with it during your free time, you can compromise when it comes to its range.

  • Warranty:

The longer the warranty, the better for you! The chances are that you will wear out your skateboard sooner or later. Electric skateboards are made to be used on all types of terrains. And such conditions can increase the potential hazards for your gear.

This is why it is very important to check the warranty of your skateboard, so you know what it covers and what not. Most manufacturers will give you a re-found or replace your board in case of serious issues. But even these facilities are conditioned by certain aspects that you need to be aware of. Keep in mind that the best electric board will come with a generous warranty as well!

  • The Motor:

Electric skateboards come with hub motors or belt drive motors. The advantages of hub motors are better breaks, less dragging and lighter weight. Also, many riders prefer hub motors because they need less maintenance and are quieter. As for belt drive motors, they offer a better acceleration as well as a better regenerative braking system. However, these types of motors need more attention and maintenance because they can have more problems along the way.

Benefits Of an Electric Skateboard:

The main benefits of riding an electric skateboard are:

  • They offer the rider more speed. Unlike regular boards, these electric skateboards can make the difference regarding speed. You will reach your destination faster and more comfortably.

  • They are eco-friendly. These electric boards can replace the cars that generate so much pollution. Many people already use them to get to work or school, and they are very efficient. A car generates 4.7 metric tons of carbon dioxide yearly. By using these electric boards, you can avoid all that!

  • More control during riding. Compared to regular skateboards, the electric ones provide increased control to the rider. Thanks to the remote controller that they come with, you can manage the speed, direction and even check the battery life!

Electric Skateboards today:

Nowadays, you can find everything from cheap electric boards to more expensive ones. But if you are a beginner, you can find a great electric skateboard at a reasonable price. Remember that the best electric board is the one that suits your needs. By considering the aspects above, you can’t go wrong when choosing your long electric board.
